This foundation is silicone and water based, completely oil-free that prevents oild buildup during the day. It is perfect for both young and mature skin. In my line of work using this product I have never come across a client that has suffered from an alergic reaction to any of its ingredients.
However if you know that your skin is extremely sensitive, make sure to test it on a small skin area before applying it to your whole face. You can also check the ingredients and make sure that it does not contain anything you might be alergic to.
Recommendations for different skin types
Dry skin
If your skin is dry or mature I recommend applying a water or silicone based primer and a moisturizer before applying this foundation. This will allow for the foundation to achieve a more smooth coverage, without your skin absorbing an insane amount of product over uneven areas.
However if you have extremely dry skin, this foundation is not for you. It will apply uneven and will work against you, highligting your flaskes and pores.
Normal skin
With normal to oily skin type, all you need to do to prepare for this foundation is apply a good moisturizer. This product will settle on your skin like a layer of silk, covering most imperfections with just one layer. If you do suffer from acne, scares, blemishes and dark spots, adding one more layer of this foundation will ensure for a clean perfect finish.
However if you prefer a more light makeup but still want to cover away those minor imperfection, I suggest applying just one layer of foundaton and top it off with a bit of spot concealer.
Oily skin
For those that have oily to extremely oily skin, I recommend applying a mattifying primer before your foundation. This will help keep your face sebum-free for the whole of the day.
This product has been made for oily skin types, yet it needs a little help to maintain its perfect satin finish throught the day. I recommend pairing it with anti-shine primes, blot powder or even setting sprays – generally anything that will help fix the foundation.
It is a bit of a more high maintanance foundation, yet long lasting natural soft finish is well worth the hassle.
