Today we will be rocking a full Glam makeup tutorial. Glam Makeup is a highly fashionable and is a veritable symbol of femininity. It implies strong eye definition, intensely defined lips, and light luminous skin. While it is certainly not something I recommend wearing on a daily basis, going all out for a special occasion with this makeup style will leave you feeling empowered and sexy.
It is really an ageless style, that can be rocked not only by those in their 20’s but always by women well in their 40’s and 50’s. After all, a woman’s beauty is ageless.

Full Glam MakeUp Tutorial – The face
Whether we’re planning on doing a complicated make-up, or going for a natural look, we always begin by applying an anti-shine makeup primer on the entire face. It is essential for combating shine and creating a smooth base for our foundation.
Apply a foundation that matches your skin tone using a brush. You can use a light to full coverage foundation here, making sure it is enough to cover up those skin imperfections.
Properly blending in the foundation will ensure that it is evenly spread across the face. I recommend using a beauty blender for this step, as it yields the best results.
We start the cream face contouring using a flat brush. Always start off with a darker toned foundation to the cheek bones, edges of the forehead, sides of the nose and to the jaw line. Make sure to blend it in well, until you achieve just a shadow effect. Contouring is always optional for any makeup, yet it is highly effective for giving shape to an area of the face and enhancing the facial structure through makeup. Make sure to use tones of beige, brown, taupe, and gray when contouring and avoid shimmery colors.
If you feel that more shadow is required after you blend in the foundation, you can always add a touch more in order to realize the look you are going for.
When applying concealer make sure to do it in a triangle under the eyes, to the bridge of the nose, above and under the lips. Do not forget to blend it in smoothly. Concealers mask dark circles, age spots, large pores, and other small blemishes visible on the skin by blending them into the surrounding skin tone.
I applied Jeunesse Instantly Ageless cream under the eyes. The cream works fast to reduce the appearance of under-eye bags, wrinkles. and pores. Keep in mind that the effect usually lasts for about 9 hours. If you do decide to use this product, make sure to let it dry, even blow a little wind towards the face to help it dry. If you are interested in learning more about this product before using it I recommend you look over our Jeunesse Instantly Ageless Cream Review.
Apply a light fixing powder to the whole face. This product will ensure a long lasting and clean finish. I recommend using a translucid powder.
Now we double the cream contouring with a powder contouring. Using a contouring kit we apply a light tone under the eyes, and a darker tone on the cheek bones, edges of the forehead, jaw line and edges of the nose. I used a contouring kit from Anastasia Beverly.
Use a fluffy brush to apply a little blush to the cheek bones.
For that extra pop apply a little illuminizing powder on the cheek bones.
Full Glam MakeUp Tutorial – The eyes
First and foremost apply a makeup base to the entire eyelid.
Start by applying a light opaque eyeshadow using your base shade of choice. Make sure to blend it in nicely using a blending brush. For today’s tutorial, I used a brown shade base.
Continue by applying a slightly darker shade of brown(or color of choice) to the outer angle of the eye, stretching it slightly beyond the limit of the eye.
Using a smaller brush add an even darker shade of brown to the outer edge of the eye. This transition between colors will add depth and length to the eye.
With a flat brush apply a highlighting pigment to the arch and inner angle of the eye.
Since we are looking for the glam look, just use your finger here to add a little bit of brown metallic eye shadow to create a contrast between the colors.
Moving on to the lower eyelid, proceed by applying the light, medium and dark brown eyeshadows. Make sure to blend them in smoothly.
Using a clean fluffy brush go over the eyeshadow lines and blend them in gently. This will ensure a gentle transition between shades.
Apply black makeup ink at the base of the eyelashes as well as mascara to the upper and lower eyelashes. To make the eyes pop out and appear larger, apply white makeup ink to the inner ridge of the lower eyelid.
This is optional, but I applied fake eyelashes just for that extra wow effect. Since my model for today has fine and rare eyelashes, I applied a few bundles to the outer half of her natural eyelash line. If you do decide to apply eyelashes, remember to let the glue dry for 5 minutes.
Slightly adjust the eyebrow line if needed with a flat brush, making sure to match the hair color with the shadow tone you are using.
Full Glam MakeUp Tutorial – The lips
No full glam makeup tutorial is complete without intense red lips.
Start by using a contouring pen to define and accentuate the fullness of the lips, followed by a water resistant opaque red lipstick.
If needed use a bit of concealer to correct the lip lines.
For the last finishing touches you can use a q-tip to add a bit of highlighting powder above the lips.
That concludes today’s full Glam MakeUp Tutorial. I hope you enjoyed it but more importantly, found it informative and useful.
